Decade and a half of sleeplessness ended last night

Jannati hawa passed through the grills of my open windows

Khusbu of Etr and fragrant agarbati, kamyab jihad.

Didn’t mind the sound of piercing bullets at all

So long they kill the idolators and the nonbelievers,

Let them all be converted, decimated, or driven away

Glory to yakhis who crash national wealth, karenge ya morenge

Oh, the regime of julm is khatam masallah, salaam salaam!

The first shoe has dropped, it’s the second freedom now,

Ilan of our bade Imam, his first gaebana risala

To the new nation of Banglastan, freedom must be complete

And a new flag, a crescent-and-star looks nice

If ‘pak sar jamin sad bad’ sounds too obvious let’s have

Some cousin of it; Dawlat al-Islam Qamat.

And Urdu and Arabic need be the national languages

Oh, I am dreaming, my sweet dreams, a half-century of waste!

 

Who cares for progress? Who cares for humanity?

Khilafat must we have, the only game in town

Sharia is my goal, Islam my libas.

Let madrassas mushroom, shun the malauni schools

Let’s complete our mission, behesti noor has washed my eyelids
